Imagine adrenaline surging through your body, leaving you simultaneously terrified and invincible, like a superhero facing one of your most strongest adversaries. This exciting sensation of limitless potential is deeply cherished not only by myself but also by those around me. The ability to exceed the limitations of both body and mind, to confront the inner voice urging you to "Stop!”, that is my experience when playing volleyball. Whether executing the perfect bump, delivering an incredible set, or simply serving the ball over the net feels extraordinary. This feeling brings me joy, excitement, and absolute fear, it is such a complex yet simple experience. As thoughts race through my mind at the speed of light, they are released in one simple and strategic touch. In that instant, I release fear, anxiety, joy, and passion through a single bump. Being able to identify and recognize your own improvement and progress, being able to assert that you have gotten to be where you are through strong effort and constant commitment is a reward in itself. Volleyball is not only a sport to me, but it also serves as my motivation to overcome the challenges I have faced and encourages me to strive for self-improvement. Volleyball is where I release any self doubt, anxiety, fear, worry, and even excessive emotions. Before playing volleyball, I had no outlet, nothing to look forward to or to keep me motivated. After finally being able to experience volleyball in fifth grade, I found my piece, my source of comfort and connection. Even though, I may not play on a team currently, I find myself involving myself in the sport, in the craft.
