Akash Macha '23 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball is more than just a sport for me, it is my passion and I love everything about volleyball from making a good pass to spiking the ball back at an opponent. I started playing volleyball the first chance I got in middle school and enjoyed playing the sport right away. I have been playing for my school team for the last five years and this is my fourth year of the club season. Two years ago, I was the captain for the CJVA 15’s black team, and all the hard work paid off when we won the silver bracket at the Atlantic City Invitational tournament. I now play on CJVA 18's national team. I always keep an open mind and continuously try to improve my game. Furthermore, I am a team player and I inspire others to work as one team. I am passionate about volleyball and would like to pursue volleyball in college. I have equally focused on academics and enrolled in Honor and AP classes and I want to pursue a career in bioinformatics.  My ultimate athletic goals are to eventually play volleyball for a prestigious team and to bring a team to the top.
