    “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” by George Bernard Shaw perfectly demonstrates the way that I live my life.  As an individual, I find myself constantly doing whatever it is that I want to do instead of what people expect me to do. Playing club volleyball and practicing more than I am expected to is not something that people are telling me to do or wanting me to do. However, anything that I can do to improve myself whether it be academically or athletically, I will do. 

    As an individual, I pride myself on being a team player rather than playing for myself. I do not focus on personal stats, instead I focus on our stats as a whole. I find more success in teams that work together and contribute to one another rather than to focus on one thing. You could have a team of all mediocre players that strive for success together as a team come out on top simply because they have one common goal.
