I started playing volleyball my freshman year. Ever since I had my first practice I knew volleyball was the sport for me. I was JV captain my first year and it wasn't until my sophomore year when I got the chance to be part of the varsity team. I wasn't a starter but mid-half way through the season my hard work and dedication paid off as I became a starter. As a setter you need the qualities of being a team leader, communicating well with others and be able to encourage all teammates to do their best. As a setter for my school I have these traits on and off the court. Academically I work hard to be a student-athlete. I work hard to get good grades in my honors classes and even in my regular classes. As a junior I am taking AP courses and since freshman year I have taken honors classes. I am dedicated to my studies to get the best GPA. Giving up is not an option as it will only make you a failure. I hope to play volleyball in the college level. I am open to any options and am willing to play anywhere. I want to pursue my career as a volleyball player and make my parents proud for what I will soon to accomplish.
