Tyler Lund '28 Recruiting Profile

      I am a outdoorsy kid from New Mexico, who loves all sports and anything competitive. I have played tackle football, baseball, soccer, and flag football with great success, but volleyball has my heart. Volleyball has motivated me to be a better leader, son, brother, teammate and student. Originally I was looking into trade schools instead of college. However, in the high school season of 2023, an athlete I looked up to was awarded a scholarship to play in California. That was a huge shift for me. Now, I understand if I do the work and put in the time, I could possibly be given the opportunity to play in college and maybe even professionally. I am finding the courage to dream big and I am so thankful for where it has already gotten me. 

     Due to a small but growing boy's volleyball population in New Mexico, I have been playing with the 18s at my club, E3, since I was 14. I believe it would be great to play my age group but I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to play up because I love the competition level that has forced me to improve my skills at a very fast rate. It helped me to make Varsity as an 8th grader and receive 1st Team All-State in 2024. 

    When I'm not in the gym I am fishing, hunting, hanging out with my family, camping, swimming, playing video games, and spending time with my best friend, my little brother, Tommy. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
