Hello my name is Thomas Leahey and what I believe you need to know about me is my team work upbringing, hard work and my goal to be an engineer.
Team work is home grown as I am the second oldest of five children. My family has worked together over the years volunteering for Endurance Organization to raise money for the Pa Wounded Warriors and other children and youth service projects. With a big family we all have to do our part with chores and weekend projects. My age order makes it so that I have help to train my younger brothers and sister.
My work ethic is second to none. My jobs include working for a construction company from 7 to 3:30 building concrete formwork, cleaning and sorting equipment during all school breaks. I have also worked for commission selling Hot Chocolate and Water carrying trays in the bleachers at PSU Football games.
My academic goal is to study engineering or in a Material science field. My high school offers introductory and advanced engineering courses. I am currently enrolled in Robotic Engineering. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and last marking period was a 3.7.
This fall I just started playing for the Yorktowne U17 blue team and think we are great team and getting better. I hope you would consider coming to see us play some time this season.
Thanks for your consideration
