Zachary Nivica '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zach Nivica and I'm a junior libero (Class of 2023) for St. Mark's School of Texas and also play club volleyball for Excel.  Volleyball is my first true passion as a sport and I've played at my school since seventh grade, becoming captain of each of my junior high school team (2018), my freshman team (2019) and during an abbreviated (covid) season for the JV team (2020) before most recently starting for the varsity team as the libero.  During that season (2021) we won the Southwest Preparatory Conference Championship and I was honored as an "All Zone" recipient.  When I'm not playing indoor volleyball, I train on the sand both in Dallas during the school year (Madsand), and in California during the summers (in Hermosa Beach).  I love the sport and am committed to putting in the work year around that will enable me to play at the collegiate level.
