Although I only began to play volleyball a few years ago during my freshman year of high school, I have continued to give my all to the sport and to push myself to become a better volleyball player every single day. As a sophomore this work and effort put in was proven as I received the "Most Improved Player" award for the varsity team at my high school. I value my work ethic and my leadership skills most when it comes to volleyball specifically.
The hardest challenge I have had to face in my volleyball career so far would have to be moving thousands of miles halfway across the country from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Lubbock, Texas. In Bethlehem, boy's volleyball was a prominent and popular high school varsity sport. In Lubbock, there is a single club within a multiple hour radius for boys volleyball. Despite this change in the level of prominence of the sport, I continued to care just as much about the sport itself and about improving all aspects of my game once I moved to Lubbock. This continued determination is the reason why I have continued to see my success grow over the years, and why I believe I will bring success to any college team that would give me the chance to play for them.
