My collegiate goals and aspirations are to enjoy myself as well as study finance. I understand that college, itself, is not that entertaining because it consists of rigorous studying, but my goal is to make it as enjoyable as possible. Playing a sport I love such as volleyball would make that opportunity possible. I do understand, however, that playing will sometimes not be enjoyable, for without challenge and no juxtaposition between enjoyment and struggle, there is neither. What makes me a good candidate for the team is my ability to quickly learn and from that knowledge become a leader and teach others. In order to be a strong leader one must have understanding, confidence, and zeal. With all that said, I have understanding of the game, confidence in my abilities, and I am zealous to win; by being a leader I make everyone on the court feel those attributes. The thing that separates me from the other recruits in character, athletics, and academics is adaptation. When and if someone is feeling distraught I understand that they need time, for solitude is a well acquainted medicine. However, too much of it will turn to poison, so when I see that the medicine has work off I go in and help them back on their feet. Athletics has always been the polestar of my accomplishments, and for that I am fortunate. Because I am so adaptive I played 5 sports growing up, but volleyball has always been my favorite and that is why I have been playing for 8 years. Academically I loved being challenged. I have taken 5 concurrent enrollment classes as well as 5 AP classes along with the rest of my classes. It is because of my quick adaptation that I am able carry all of these traits and be successful.
