My name is Johnny Mendiburu, I will be a senior in the fall at Garces Memorial High School. I am a Center/Utility player and have played for 6 years. It is my ultimate goal to get to play and study at a prestigious Division I college. Not only do I want to play water polo in college, but I want to further my education. Academics are very important to me and I take them just as seriously as water polo. To reach this goal, I put maximum effort in the pool and inside the classroom. My grit and determination is what drives me to accomplish this goal, whether it is putting in maximum effort to hold a side in center or maximum effort to ace a test. I love the game of water polo and want to continue my journey with the sport to learn and grow both in and outside of the pool.
