2022 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Griffin Yamaoka and water polo is my passion. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest-working players for my team. I have strong ball-handling skills, high water polo IQ, and fierce determination. I just finished my Junior year season; Citrus Coast league champions, First team All-League, Academic All-League, Outstanding Academic All-American, CIF southern section.
Leading by example is my personal mantra while encouraging my teammates. My coach relies on me for continued leadership in and out of the pool. Out of the water, I work hard to maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer, teaching youth in my community how to be water safe and the fundamentals of water polo. I am currently a member of several clubs including California Scholarship Federation.
I am devoted to playing water polo at the colligate level where I can push myself in the pool and the classroom. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
