I have been an athlete for as long as I can remember. I started playing baseball and soccer when I was four years old. I have always loved playing sports and learning new skills. I also played flag football and basketball throughout the years. I am happy I played all of these different sports throughout my younger years because they gave me the tools I needed to be a successful water polo player in high school. I started playing water polo my sophomore year and fell in love with the sport. I am a hard worker and was able to make varsity right away. I also joined the local club team to get more time in the pool while getting faster and stronger. I am a good listener and work to be a better player and team mate every day.
Going into my senior year, I am the captain of my high school team and hope to be league champs like we were last year. I plan to work as hard as I can in the pool, the gym, and in the classroom. I’m looking forward to playing water polo at the collegiate level as I earn my college degree. I hope to make my parents and coaches proud of the athlete and student that I am and will be in college.
