Personal Statement

Something that sets me apart from other student athletes is my faith in God. Through Him I believe that I can accomplish whatever is set before me and it is my responsibility to make the most of the talents that he has provided me with. This faith drives me to work harder, be a better leader, and to make the most of the opportunities I am given. I look forward to being part of a college team that will allow me to use these skills to compete in water polo.

Because of my faith, I am one of the hardest working athletes you will find. Whatever it takes to get better and improve, I will do. I attend 2-3 practices daily, managing club and school polo workouts. In addition, I seek out learning opportunities whenever possible. Despite the challenges of the Covid lock down, I sought out opportunities to continue to practice and improve skills attending swim practices and water polo practices throughout the year. I have good grades, despite taking AP and college courses

I am ready for my 2021-22 senior year. While I was able to swim and practice water polo this past year, I missed the competition and camaraderie of playing water polo tournaments with my high school and club water polo teams.

I excel at defense and running water polo plays and strategies. I am a strong shooter and driver, and I am a team leader.  I moved up to varsity as a freshman, and played as a starter beginning in my sophomore year.  I was co-captain this past year on my high school team and I am captain of the 18U summer high school team (2021). In addition to training with the high school team, I train with 559 Royal Water Polo club where I am a starter for their 18U team (first place Central Zone JO qualifications 2021).  I can play and will play any position my team needs. I am a team player and will do everything I can to get the job done for my team and my coach. I am looking to be part of team that values hard work, integrity, good sportsmanship, and of course getting the job done to win the games.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
