I went to the Junior Olympics 3 times when I was younger with Sleepy Hollow Aquatics and started playing football instead of water polo when I was in 8th grade. I continued with football for my first 3 years of high school playing defensive end and outside linebacker. This past summer, I decided to prioritize my health by moving away from the high impact of football (as I had been struggling with a knee problem that has since been resolved) and returned to my old club team SHAQ. I was honored to make the 18U A team for the Junior Olympics my first year back and learned a lot from that experience.
I feel that I am different because my experience playing football among other factors has made me more aggressive and technical than most other recruits. I hold myself to a high standard and work every day before school as well as practice after school to get stronger and faster and perfect my shot, defense, and moves. I believe that the skill and versatility that I've developed and will continue to develop throughout my current high school season at Marin Catholic will prove that I am deserving of the opportunity to play water polo at the next level.
