I spent my younger life thinking I was going to be a baseball player. I played on a travel team and even traveled out of state to play on several occasions. Entering High School, I really wanted to try football, but my parents didn't like the idea and asked me to give Water Polo a try. I did and have been in love with it from day 1. My Freshman year, I kept asking coaches what I could do to get better. They suggested watching videos on how to play the game and going to the gym to get stronger, which is exactly what I did. The arm from baseball has really helped me in Polo, for now in my Junior year, I own the school record for most goals scored in a season. I think the thing that I enjoy most is taking the younger players under my wing and helping them get better.
As far as my personal goals, I really want to excel at the next level, be a part of something special, compete nationally and with the grace of God, maybe even play for Team USA. When the Polo career comes to an end, I really want to work in the Fire Science field or Sports Management.
I'm a good student who goes to school everyday, but this year, my Junior year, I decided to challenge myself by taking Honors Anatomy, Honors Pre-Calculus and AP English. I enjoy doing volunteer work at local events like the Harvest Marathon and Food Drives. I worked as a Life Guard over the summer at a local water park.
I owe a lot of my success to my step father, John who has guided me and instilled the values of hard work and determination within me.
