Ryan Boschken '23 Recruiting Profile

What makes me unique for your program?   I work out every day, whether on my own or with my team and even during these challenging Covid times. I've always believed hard work, perseverance and grit will pay off in the long run. I live by this rule. In fact my PASA swim coach has always told me to work outside my comfort zone, which I respect and push myself to achieve this goal. I truly believe that the countless hours in the pool with over 10+ years of swimming and 6+ years of water polo will finally come together in a collegiate program. I am fortunate to have strong role models with my two supportive parents who both played collegiate sports followed by post-graduate degrees.  

I have strong social and communication skills and therefore have built meaningful connections with my teammates, both in and out of the pool.  I am a great team player always looking to assist my friends and grow with them through practices and games.  I feel grateful that I have had so many wonderful opportunities . 

Bellarmine lives by a very simple truth "men for and with others".  I believe this will continually reshape my life goals and future decisions. Not just showing up, but actually making a difference.  Bellarmine College Prep has given me life skills to compete at a high level both athletically and academically. 

My ultimate career/educational goal is to follow in my father's footsteps as an Orthodontist and help build upon what he has created over the last 22 years.
