Imagine a young athlete diving headfirst into a world of dreams, their passion lit in the pool's depths. That athlete is me, Pa'Kalani Saxton Vaka, a 18-year-old senior from Santa Cruz High School, driven by a love for water polo that burst to life four years ago. With an insatiable hunger to reach new levels, I aim to not only make it to collegiate water polo but to also stand out and be one of the best. As you consider the next generation of water polo stars, I ask you to let me show you my determination and Water polo skills.
While I have only played for around 4 years, those 4 years have been filled with hard work and full commitment to this sport. I have dropped other sports and interests to focus solely on Water polo and achieving my dream of becoming a college athlete. Additionally, as I have worked hard, I have had the guidance of my coaches throughout the way who gave me good body position and habits through drills and hard sessions. Other strengths that I have include: Posting up, drive defense, Game IQ, and shooting skills. However, I also consider myself a very academic person who can learn quickly, and always give my best.
I will be attending West Valley Community College as a freshman to continue to put in the hard work and develop my skills in order to transfer to a university to continue to develop as a player.
