at a college level, I aspire to excel at the sport of waterpolo. I have played the sport on and off for 7 years in total, and through that time I have gained a lot of knowledge. But, at a college level I feel there is so much more to learn. academically, I wish to go for a 4 year degree in some field of business major. Having been involved in sports for many years, especially basketball, I have gained the ability to “read the floor” very well. This is a skill I use in conjunction with my size to assert myself as a staple for my team, as they can trust that I will take care of the ball and put it where it needs to be. I am different from other recruits in the fact that I have a very wide build, which I utilize in getting around defenders or getting a hand in the way the person I am guarding. also, because of my size, often set players find it hard to get positive position on me and if they do manage to get the ball it will be very hard for them to get a shot off. Another aspect that I believe differentiates me from other is my level headedness. I often watch my teammates get very heated, and though I understand they have a passion for the sport, I tend to understand that throwing fits is doing more of a disservice to not just me but my team as well. Again, academically I am different from other recruits due to the fact that I have maintained a solid 3.7 GPA and above for my junior year, For all of these reasons, I would be a good fit for a coaches team.
