I just arrived from Spain in August 2023, where I have played water polo since I was 7 years old.
It is an especially competitive sport in this country, so I have had to work very hard to reach my current level. In all this time, I have learned that there are factors, beyond the physical, that are fundamental to playing well. The mind and the vision of the game, for example, are fundamental to win a match.
That's why I would highlight the strategic vision I have developed. A skill in which I think I stand out against the type of game I observe in many Florida high school students where they base their game exclusively on speed and strength. Also, as a utility player, who plays a variety of positions (usually more as a winger), I have good speed (1'05" in 100m), a lot of endurance (I usually play the whole game), and I'm a very good defender. Also, without being the main shooter of the team, I have finishing ability. Without a doubt, although I think my aptitude for sports in general is very good, what sets me apart the most is my all-around attitude.
I am very excited to be able to study at an American university and I will put in all the work and discipline necessary to achieve that goal. And if I also achieve it using water polo as a vehicle, it would be a dream come true. That is the challenge I have set for myself for the next year and a half I have left in high school.
I am especially attracted to the area of business, my father is dedicated to it and I have always been attracted to it. Also, from what I've been told and observed, I have a lot of soft and social skills, which are important characteristics for running a business.
I would love to be contacted and ratify these aspects in first person.
Thank you very much for your time and dedication.
