Steven Spector '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Steven Spector and I am current a junior at Navarre High School in Navarre Florida. I started to play water polo my freshman year thinking that I could get in better shape for swim after doing my first year in swim, but after playing just one game I fell in love. Coming from a background of baseball, water polo was a start to a whole new love for. I believe I would be a great fit for any team because I have a strong passion for the game, I am a leader in the water and outside the water and I am always willing to listen and take feedback in order to improve myself and the team. I have a challenging year but I have bounced back from moving to place to place. Unfortunately due to my move from San Antonio to Navarre we found that they don't do water polo here. But that didn't stop my determination to keep on playing I trained throughout the swim season and got way faster, and I found a little area in Destin FL, where it is an adult league that we finally got together to be an official USA water polo team as a club team. I believe what makes me different from players is my ability to lead and learn. I may not be playing as long as my competitors but I have found love and passion for this game, I have learned the sport, become a leader, achieved notable things. I believe with the right team and coaching staff I will be able to excel in both academically, and athletically.
