Rachel Hester '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello from Navarre, Florida!  My name is Rachel Hester and I am a hardworking 2021 RHP/OF/1.  I am a Junior and have been a Varsity starter for the Navarre High School Raiders since I was a freshman!  It’s Greater to be a Raider!! :-)

I also play travel softball for White Lightning 03, based out of Hoover, Alabama.  

I have been dedicated to this wonderful sport since beginning travel softball at the age of 8!  Nothing compares to softball in my eyes!  It is the one and only sport I have played and continue to love every passing day!  Always being part of a team has taught me how important it is to work together and how valuable each player is!  I know I am capable of playing softball at the collegiate level and make a promise to myself every day to always work hard and never give up!  Being in the circle is what I love the most and see pitching as a huge honor!  With great command on the mound, I’m able to get ahead of the hitter.  I’m able to throw a variety of pitches with lots of spin and movement to keep the batters guessing!  When I’m not on the mound, I play OF or 1st base.  As a hitter, I am disciplined, have a great eye, and bring power to hit anywhere in the lineup.  

Each day I continue to strive both on and off the field to achieve the goals I have set for myself and to better my skills to be the best I can!  

Softball is a huge blessing in my life and my ultimate goal is to earn a college degree while playing the sport I love.
