My formal name is Hugh McKean Jones V, but I have always gone by Tucker. I am a junior at The Latin School of Chicago. I am also a 2019 USA ODP Water Polo All-Star. This will be my 3rd year as a starter on the varsity water polo team at The Latin School of Chicago. While Latin is a rigorous academic school, it is not a powerhouse water polo school, which is why I relocated to California to play for Cal Republic A team during the 2018 summer and represented them at the JO's and USA Club Championships.
Water polo is my passion. I have been playing since I was in the 3rd grade. As a junior, I'm proud to be an All-Star. Last year, as a sophomore, I was awarded the Nick Johnson Award, by representing the spirit and character of the Olympic Development program.
My goal is to attend a world-class university and be an impact player on a highly competitive water polo team.
Working in a team setting and building relationships are strengths of mine, and I hope that being part of a water polo team will be one of the many aspects of my future collegiate experience that will continue to develop my skills as a leader. I'm strong at the core, loyal, dedicated and a true team player.
