Gavin Haight '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gavin Haight. I am a Goalkeeper for Jenison High School. I have been the starting Goalie for my school since my sophomore season. I am currently a Junior. I love working out and pushing myself to constantly be getting better at every tiny little thing. I have won multiple leadership awards and was nominated team captain my sophomore year. I also play for a JO’s team based out of Hudsonville, Michigan. Our team is the Third Coast Thunder Dragons. 

I started playing Water Polo in 7th grade after doing my first swim season. At first I played to stay in shape for swim but quickly realized how much I loved water polo. I joined a club team after my second season and that just increased my love for the sport. Water Polo has pushed me through school and made me want to be better in every aspect of my life whether it’s homework, or work, or relationships with my friends and family. Water Polo has taught me many life lessons and that is why I want to continue my career into college.
