Max Mees '21 Recruiting Profile

My main goal is to obtain a great college education while following my passion for the game of water polo. My coaches through the years, in all sports that I’ve played, have told me that I am very coachable. One of my water polo coaches called me the “yes-man” because of my willingness to do whatever needs to get done for the team. 

Playing water polo is a very important part of my life. The second I jumped in the pool for the first time I fell in love with the game. Coming in third in the Oregon State Championships and winning a conference title this past year has only made me more enthusiastic about this sport. 

I have completed the leadership program by Jeff Janssen called The Team Captain’s Leadership Manual and I take it to heart.  I approach water polo with the attitude that the team’s success comes first.  I know that my experience and attitude towards the game makes me a great candidate for your team!
