Turner Cole '20 Recruiting Profile

Leadership is key in my opinion.  Often, the best teammate is not necessarily the best or most talented player, but rather the player who knows how to lead, inspire the team, and focus on the positives.  I feel like that leadership in my strength.  My travel coaches have always told me that I am a positive influence on other players.  As a catcher, I feel like I can serve as a field general for the coach.   I have participated in a number of leadership programs while in school, including YMCA Youth Judicial, YMCA Youth Legislature, the Henry Clay Student Congress, and Junior United Nations of Alabama.  I am currently the Tech Team chair for JUNA and won an award as an outstanding first-year house participant in Youth Legislature in 2018.   This year, I am the Editor-in-Chief for Youth Judicial and Youth Legislature and served as a deputy sheriff for Youth Judicial last year.

I want to attend veterinary school after my undergraduate studies are completed.  In addition to focusing on the pre-requisites for vet school, I would like to minor in Spanish.  It is important in our multi-cultural society that I am able to offer bi-lingual services in a veterinary practice.
