Hello,
My name is Khyla Garrett and I am a Senior at Anniston High School located in Anniston, AL. In college I plan on majoring in Engineering with a minor Cosmetology. This statement is to express my interest, dedication, and passion to play softball at the next level. Playing softball has offered me so many opportunities to travel and meet new people throughout several states. Continuing to focus on my skills and applying it to my on-field game play can only make me better help my team succeed throughout the season. I can never stop practicing and getting better by working only on scheduled days, it has to be a part of my daily life in order to make it to the next level. My ultimate goal is to play softball at any level just as long as I am able to touch the field with teammates that love the game as much as I do. My mom is very passionate for the game and I want to have that same feeling while I am able to play. Maintaining my grades and graduating from school is the first priority and I take that very seriously. Continuing to keep my grades above average and taking my life serious, I believe that makes me the player I have worked on throughout our my athletic career. In my first year of high school, I decided to challenge myself by deciding to maintain my grades, stay out of trouble, and further my skills and character as an athlete to better my understanding on how to balance life on and off the field. This is the reason why I love softball because it’s not an easy game. It’s a mental and physical game that require time, patience, and focus.
Thanks for your time,
Khyla Garrett
