My name is Abigail Ogle; I am a Sophomore at Fyffe Highschool, a public school located in Fyffe, AL. The purpose of this statement is to express my desire and passion to pursue softball at a higher level. Softball has already offered me so many amazing opportunities and has connected me with fantastic coaches and players who I look up to as role models. My ultimate goal is to play softball at the college level. I am willing to put whatever it takes in becoming the best softball player I’m capable of being. I fully understand that academics are the most essential element of college but I believe that being part of a team creates lifelong bonds, teamwork, and character. Throughout my high school years, I have always tested myself with difficult classes. I believe that the only way to get better at something is by challenging and pushing yourself to the limit. This is why I find softball so appealing. Softball is not an easy game. It’s a game of precision, timing, and focus. I once heard that if softball was easy, everybody would play it.
