My name is Madison Britt, currently a high school junior and my primary position is pitcher with my secondary being first base, second base and right field. Since the day I was born, I knew I was destine to play softball, watching my older sister and her teammates play, gave me the determination to be where I am today. It has always been a personal goal to play the game I love so much at a collegiate level, while earning a degree in science. My passion, determination and exemplary work ethic are not the only criteria I bring to a team; additionally, I also have strong leadership skills, upstanding personal ethics, organizational skills, and the ability to multi task. Knowing the value of being a team player has not only help motivate me but also built my confidence, articulation, and taught me commitment. Being a member of a team has already offered me so many amazing opportunities in the coaches I have had the privilege to learn from to the many teammates who I have gained lifelong friendships with.
I am currently working toward my honors high school diploma at Beauregard High School while being an active member of the varsity softball and varsity volleyball program . For the past several years I effectively balanced the demands of travel ball, playing both school Varsity softball and, and school volleyball teams while maintaining honors scholastically. The discipline required to handle the rigors of honors classes while playing multiple sports is what sets me apart from other candidates. It is not only aspiration but also a personal goal of mine to play college softball while furthering my education. I believe my dedication, hard work, and assertiveness will make this dream become a reality. I am willing to put whatever it takes in becoming not only the best softball player, but making the team better as a whole, while growing personally. I understand the importance of academics and believe that being part of a team only helps to succeed both in the classroom and in life.
Behind the softball player, behind the hours of practices, behind the coaches who pushed, behind the teammates cheering, is a little girl (me) that fell in love with the game who never looks back, only forward!
