I started playing softball when I was seven years old and I haven’t stopped playing since. I play on a travel team two hours from my home. I am very dedicated. I hate missing practices; I get excited for every practice and game. I make sure I’m the first one to practice and when we don’t have practice I practice on my own. I go to camps so I can continuously get better. I am a very coachable player, when coaches tell me things to fix; I work to fix those things to help me be better.
Pitching is something I love to do because I love having pressure put on me and the opportunity to lead the team. In the off season I participate in a strength training class to improve my stamina and power and play basketball. I also work with a pitching coach in the off season to perfect mechanics, increase velocity and learn new pitches.
After I graduate high school, I plan to go to college to start a career I enjoy, while playing softball. I know that grades are the most important part to being a student athlete. My grades are very good, school is extremely important to me, and I work hard in my studies.
I’m very loud; on the bench, at practice, or in a game. You will always hear me cheering and encouraging my teammates. I enjoy meeting new people through softball and have made many friends. I love the team work that comes with the sport. Softball is my life; I love the fact that I can play it every day.
