I would like to attend college and get a bachelor’s degree and major in Agriculture business or communication. I feel my strongest softball attribute would be my mental toughness and softball IQ. Ever since grade school I have played through seasons that I played where they needed me to play from 2nd base, 1st base and my senior year I ended up pitching. My strongest pitch is my change up and although I don't throw the hardest or the fastest pitch, I found a way with a new coach to strike some girls out and use the pitches that are working. I feel defensively that I would bring the most to a team at 1st base, but I also love to play middle infield. The past couple of years I had a coach that had a small ball mentality and would use my bunt abilities to move girls a base at a time. My senior year we have a new coach with a long ball mentality and has encouraged me to hit and swing away. This has helped my confidence offensively as I have had success hitting home runs and line drives. As far as character, I try to be positive and keep the teams morale up. I have played with all kinds of girls over the years and know that keeping girls morale up is crucial to being a successful team. I feel my approach with the younger girls this season has helped keep our morale up despite some losses. As a senior I have helped show them that being positive on social media has made them stronger as a team and helped a couple players that just needed a little more confidence. All in all, I would say I am solid at 1st base and am a well-rounded softball player with utility. Thank you for your consideration.
