I am a passionate softball player since the 4th grade. While I am well liked by my teammates and coaches I know being liked isn't everything and I have no problems helping my team mates be responsible for their actions. I am a dependable player, I am often the first person on and off the fields for practice and game days. I recently stepped into the role of captain on my travel team and I feel that setting a good example to the rest of my team allowed us to battle back from a loss at our most recent NSA tournament and if we hadn't gotten rained out we would be champs and not co-champs. I have a lot to learn still and am willing to put in the work and effort to accomplish what is best on the field and in school for my future.
My ultimate goal at college is to learn about either the fire sciences or sports medicine/coaching. Growing up in a small desert community where wild fires are very common I wish to become a firefighter. The impact of the loss of the Granite Mountain Hotshots to our community was huge and I was very young when it happened. I have felt the need to serve my community by helping others. My back up plan would be to study sports medicine so that I can work with athletes keeping them at their peak performance. I can also see me coaching in my community.
