Hello my name is Madison Hinojos, I am currently in my junior year and attend Trivium Preparatory Academy in Goodyear Arizona. I am truly dedicated to my academics and to the sport of softball. I feel achieving in academics not only prepares me for my college future but also makes me a smarter softball player who knows the game. I made the varsity team my freshman year and was proudly recognized by the AIA in the 2A Conference for the state of Arizona and awarded the Region Offensive Player of the Year, All Region 1st Team for seasons 2017, 2018 and 2019. I am very humbled to be recognized for the 2019 season as the 2A West Region Player of the Year and nominated for 2A All Conference 1st Team. I have also been awarded the Silver Slugger Award in 2017 and the Golden Glove Award in 2018 from my school.
The education I am receiving encompasses honors level classes which include Humane Letters, Latin, Chemistry and Pre-Calculus. These high level courses I excel in, making excellent grades while practicing and attending private coaching lessons to make me a better softball player. I would love to play softball on a college level, however academics is the most essential element of my college education. My passion is to major in the medical field either as a pediatrician (I enjoy working with children) or to enter the medical research field.
I am open minded about colleges and hope to find a college that I can excel at academically., which will provide a foundation for my major and the ability to play softball. On my whiteboard in my bedroom I have written this Babe Ruth quote “Never let the fear of striking out get in your way.” Knowing at the end of the day I made a difference and tried my hardest both on and off the field is a focal point in my life. It’s all about being a better person and giving back to those around us. This is what I hope my future will continue to provide me, the opportunity to accomplish my goals and dreams in whatever path I am destined.
