My goals and aspirations in college are focused on getting a top-tier education as well as fueling my passion for softball and immersing myself in the hardwork and dedication required to excel both academically and athletically. My primary goal is to complete college with an advanced degree in psychiatry given that my career aspirations are to help people with chronic psychological conditions. Moreover, I have a deep passion for softball which is evident in the strong commitment I have made to the sport over the past nine years as well as in the refined, consistent level of play I have been able to nurture.
I have a mature, sincere and cheerful personality and I enjoy social interaction. Furthermore, my teammates are important to me and I work hard to promote a supportive and encouraging environment. Also, I am always working to improve myself and meet whatever challenges I encounter, head on. I've been told throughout my softball experience that I am a highly coachable player.
Presently, I am 6"1 and 160 lbs. yet, despite my size, my home-to-first time is 2.64 seconds and I have the quickness and range to play a competitive second base even though my primary position is first base. My arm speed was recently clocked at 62 mph and my exit velocity is 79mph (verified by CSE Evaluations at Colorado Sparkler in July).
I have a very strong interest in hitting and a deep understanding of swing mechanics including vision and pitch selection, which was developed through six continuous years of hitting instruction with Jerry Stitt, Former Head Coach for The University of Arizona baseball team and one of the most respected hitting instructors in the country.
In May, 2022 I received Arizona 5A All Conference First Team and Arizona 5A All Region First Team recognition.
Lastly, I'm well rounded, artistically creative, and an athlete who strives to give back to my community. Each year, I participate in volunteer work at The Salvation Army and during the holidays, I volunteer at the food bank to help feed the homeless population in South Tucson. Currently, I am planning to participate in the Student Council and I'm looking to form an All-Female Health & Fitness club within my school.
