I have been playing competitive softball since I was 8 years old. But it wasn't until summer 2017 when I realized I loved competing and winning. In summer of 2017, my club team won Top Gun and the USSSA National Championship, competing against the top teams in the Midwest. Then in August of 2017 I was chosen as a Direct Select All American to represent the Central Region in Orlando. These experiences helped shape me as a competitor and a teammate. It also taught me how to be a leader in softball and other competitive sports.
2020 has been an extraordinary year. Due to the pandemic, my Sophomore season was limited to 4 games last spring. Fortunately, my Club team played nearly 40 games in summer of 2020 against top competition in the Midwest. The summer presented a great opportunity to build relationships with teammates from different schools who were all eager to compete again. As I begin my Junior year this fall - there is still uncertainty with high schools sports. However, this Fall my Club team competed in 5 tournaments against elite competition. Once again it reinforced my love of the game and my passion to compete at the next level. I am highly motivated to work every day during the off-season to strengthen my game.
Collectively, all of these experiences have helped build my character, taught me the value of hard work, and have provided great leadership opportunities. I am looking for a college program that can help me achieve both my academic goals and athletic goals. I am confident that my physical skills combined with my work-ethic and leadership skills would have a positive impact on your program. As an ambitious student athlete and strong student in the classroom I know I have what it takes to contribute to the success of your softball program.
