Ella Blakely '24 Recruiting Profile

        I’m currently a Junior at Central Arkansas Christian in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I play catcher and third on my travel team, Tulsa Elite Ark 18U Jaramillo, but I have played almost every other position.  During my freshman year I was selected for All Conference and Defensive Player of the Year, helping lead my team to a conference championship and the schools first regional appearance in 9 years.  I was recently ranked #247 overall and #107 for catchers Nationally by Extra Innings for the class of 2024.

         I have played softball since I was 4 years old. Ever since I was little, softball has always been my passion.   I have learned so much in life by playing softball. Some of those things include getting back up when you fall, patience, love for the game, you can control attitude, you need to work hard for your goals, how to work with stress and pressure, and sportsmanship. 

       I always strive for academic excellence. I constantly work to balance being a student and an athlete. I have a 4.2 GPA. God, school and softball have always been my highest priorities. 

       With my dad being in the Air Force, one of the obstacles that I have overcome is moving six times. Through that I have learned that when you fall you have to get back up again and always have a positive attitude. It has also helped me with learning to start over with new teams, so I know how to easily adapt to new situations. 

        My teammates would describe me as crazy, hard working, and loving. If allowed to play at a college level, I know I would be able to contribute to the team, reach my full potential and strive for greatness.
