Hello coach! My name is Emily Camacho. I am in the class of 2025. I am currently a junior at Smackover High School. I am highly active in our youth softball program often umpiring ages 6u, 8u, 10u, and 12u. I also volunteer for the concession stand and collect gate fees as needed. I also do private hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching lessons with youth softball players typically ages six to twelve. I have been active in softball since I was 4 years old, playing 8u. I began playing tournament softball at the age of nine in 2016. since then, I have learned not only how to play softball at a competitive level but also be a good teammate and engage in proper sportsmanship. In addition to my extra-curricular activities, I am a member of the following clubs: Spanish National Honors Society, English Literati, Beta club, and I am the Smackover FFA program Treasurer. My current GPA is a 4.0. I attend high school classes in the morning and South Arkansas Community College Classes in the afternoon. My goal is to play softball at the colligate level. For my high school softball team, I have played in left field, center field, and pitcher. however, for my travel tournament team I have played in all nine positions to the best of my ability. Softball to me is not only the sport I have thoroughly enjoyed my entire life, but also an escape on my bad days. Softball has helped me in every aspect of my life including my confidence, social skills, focus, and determination to accomplish any goal I put my mind to.
