My name is Malia Ishii, I am a fifteen year old sophomore at Caruthers High School. I’ve lived in Caruthers, California with my parents and brother my entire life.
Softball has been my passion since the day I stepped on the field. I’ve been playing softball since I was seven years old and have been playing travel softball since I was ten. I play on Cen Cal Firecrackers-Davis 16u. Softball has become an important priority in my life.
I have held a 4.0 GPA since the fourth grade. I promoted from eighth grade as one of three Valedictorians. I was in the Junior Doctors Academy I middle school and continue in the Doctors Academy at my high school.
I am looking to go to a 4-year college to further my education. I plan on majoring in sports medicine or Kinesiology. My education is my main priority, but softball is my passion. I hope to find a college that will allow me to pursue my academics and allow me to compete at a higher level.
