I am in my third year at College of the Redwoods, a junior college in Eureka, California. I am pursuing my degree in kinesiology with aspirations to become a physical therapist in the future. I plan to earn my AA in kinesiology later this spring and want to move on and spend my next two years of college playing the sport I love. Currently, I maintain a 3.6 GPA but I pushing for a higher one after this spring semester. Off the field, besides academics, I have taken a leadership role with my team. My teammates and I all have a tight bond and I hope to bring this bond to a new team after this spring. As one of the older girls on the team, my teammates come to me if they need help with classes or have questions about practice, etc. On the field, I have learned so much about myself in the past couple of years. Before I came to CR, I had no confidence in myself but over the past two years I have gained a new understanding of what it is like to be a pitcher and I have learned to take control of the field when I pitch. I have also learned to trust my coaches and my defense behind me. When I am not in the game, I am one of the loudest people in the dugout cheering my team on. These qualities make me a great team player and I am ready to bring these qualities to a new team!
