My name is Kelly Chu. I'm 16 years old, attending Homestead high school. As a freshman I was the starting left fielder on varsity. We had a good season making it all the way to CCS division 1 championship and took runner up. As a sophomore I was the starting pitcher on varsity as well as the impact player on my team voted by my teammates. I was also the captain of the varsity team. Playing softball has taught me many things about myself like being confident. I also learned that I love to be a leader and help my teammates get better because helping my teammates get better helps the team get better as a whole. Academically I focus a lot about my grades having a 4.0 GPA my freshman and sophomore year. I aspire to keep good grades all throughout high school. If I have good grades I will get into a good school and academics is very important to me personally.
