Julia Smith Play ...Personal Statement
Winning the High Desert League Championship for the first time since 2007 and the 2nd time in school history has thus far been my greatest experience in softball. I learned so much from it such as nothing is possible without teamwork and communication. I hardly played my freshman year because it was only my 2nd year of softball. However the bench taught me that good energy, confidence and drive is key to any successful player.
My parents divorced when I was about 6 and this made playing sports and finding a passion very difficult, even though I had always had my Dirtbike something felt missing. I wanted a team, a bond, people to share my greatest accomplishments and mistakes with and I found that in softball. It has made me a better person full of drive and care. With these qualities, skill, and knowledge I hope to find a program that fits me athletically and academically.
