My name is Haley Fardanesh and I’m a sophmore at Vista del Lago High in Folsom, CA. I’m a pitcher and outfielder for the Varsity team at my high school, as well as for my travel team, Nor Cal Wolfpack.

From a young age, I participated in a variety of sports – soccer, dance, swimming and gymnastics to name a few. However, once I shoved my hand into a mitt, threw that bright yellow ball, and swung a bat, I knew there was only one sport for me – SOFTBALL!

In the 11 years that I’ve played, softball has offered me many amazing opportunities and has connected me with fantastic coaches and teammates. I believe that being part of a team creates life-long bonds, teamwork, and character.

I learned responsibility and dedication at a young age. There have been times I’ve had to make a choice between hanging out with friends or getting some extra practice for an upcoming tournament. I understand the commitment I’ve made and my dedication has helped me make the right decision to further my playing ability. I’m also learning to master time management, especially since starting high school. These qualitites show that I’m willing to put in whatever it takes to become the best student and softball player I’m capable of being.

Knowing that I’m capable of playing softball in college makes me even more passionate for this sport. When it comes to choosing the school I would like to attend, there are a range of schools that interest me. I am open-minded about colleges and hope to find a college that allows to me to play softball as I get a great education. That combination is my ultimate goal as I look toward my future!
