Hello!
My name is Alondra Dominguez, and I would love to play softball at the next level. I am open to play in any division as long as it is a right fit academically. I am friendly and work well with others. I would love to major in Liberal Studies with a focus in Special education with a minor in Physical therapy & kinesiology . I have a great work ethic in and out of the field. I played baseball from the age of 3 to 14yrs and I am confident to say I learned situational plays which make me a very smart softball player. I played right field which taught me to be aggressive especially playing with boys at the highest competition, I also pitched and struck a lot of boys out which helped me be resilient. Now in softball I play 3rd and 1st base where I’m ready to protect the corners and help out my pitcher.
I was called “raw talent” by a few coaches; see most of my coaching comes from my dad, we aren’t too wealthy which makes it difficult for me to hire private coaches, therefore I do what I can with what I have. I usually bat 4th or 5th on the lineup, I have quick hands (79mph) and I have a very strong bat. 80% of the time I get on base, the other 20% I continue to learn and work on the struggles of making sure to know the situation of each at bat, and most importantly to help my team score those runs!
I am pretty agile for my 165lbs, my sliding is on point considering that in baseball that’s kind of rare.
I am also a hard worker inside the classroom; Academically, I do my best to keep a reasonable GPA. A lot has gone on over the years in my life, but I can clearly say that playing sports has been my ultimate therapy and I hope with God’s grace to be able to play at a collegiate level.
