Hello my name is Danielle . I’m currently 17 years old and approaching my senior year. I know the circumstances of this year we’re not ideal but it did make me realize how much I really love my sport and how much I want to continue it whether it be for community or university. I’m a great candidate because I work hard and I have been playing my whole life . I started when I was about 4 on a team full of boys playing t-ball... even though I dreaded that team because they always picked on me I feel like that pushed my softball Career even more. I want a scholarship or even better a Tuition because I know college is really expensive and my parents can’t offord it so ever since I got the idea that softball can get me into college I have never stopped. I know that I would even like to major in business to persue my dream of being a business woman . My grades are ranging about from a 2.5-3.3 now and I’m taking a higher math class then what I should be in. I’m a very dedicating person and very out going and open to new ideas. I’m an athlete that I personally believe never gives up and is very loyal. If you hurt my player I will make it my mission to crush you in the game . I have done it before because my team is my family and even if we don’t like eachother we get along and fight for eachother as One. Softball gives me this adrenaline that just gets me going. I’ve tryed other sports but my heart has always been out to softball. I even tryed slow pitch softball for my school and it wasn’t the same I just have a passion for fast pitch softball. I’m really devoted to softball and I have never missed a day of practice or a game my whole life even when I was sick. I have played for hacienda heights and la puente and never really had to try out because I would instantly make the team. I played for the team little trouble for about 7 to 8 years so far for coach Mario . Unfortunately when the league shut down I went and played for la puente. For a while I kinda lost the love for softball , and stopped playing for a bit but it just didn’t feel right, I knew I had to play and since I realized that my dedication has went up so much , I used to not really like practicing and just only liked games but now I just look forward to going to practice and I wanna go and I wanna get better. I even tell my coaches to make more practices and longer practice because I feel like softball is my only escape. I love playing every position (except pitcher) it is so much fun to me and getting better is all I want to do , especially for catcher. When I was about 6 and 7 my position was short stop and second until my coach got the idea of putting me as catcher from that day forward I would play ever inning as catch non- stop and I acctually enjoyed it. In the year of 2013-2014 I was the star player and a home run hitter and the leagues best catcher (for my age category of course ) . I think softball is ultimately an amazingly fun sport and I’m very dedicated on my own will. Everyone talks about why they are a perfect candidate, but I’m not perfect , I’m just a 17 year old who wants to continue to get better and who wants to peruse her dreams and softball career in college and is dedicated to it ! Thank you for reading :) I hope you liked it :)
