Personal Statement

Hello Coaches,

My name is Julia Woeste.  I live in Hollister CA and I am a Junior at San Benito High School. I currently play for a "A" level travel ball team with the California Suncats- Jimenez 18U from Gilroy CA.  This will be my 3rd year on Varsity at San Benito High School.  I have played varsity since my freshman year.  Last year I made 1st team all league.  Batted .342 with 5 home runs.  I went 9 wins and 3 loses with a 2.34 era.  We lost in the CCS championships 4-3.

I played last summer with the Sorcerer Williams 16u.  I played a lot of 1B and batted 4th.  I led the team in hitting with a .329 avg, 8 home runs and 47 rbi's  Since high school last yea I have hit 15 home runs.

In High School I am taking Physics AP,  AP Calculus and Advanced Sign Language and have a 3.85 GPA.

I was part Girl Scouts for 3 years we did a lot of community events, fundraising and volunteer activities.  I also participated in first steps where we took unprivileged kids shopping for Christmas, just to name a few of my community involvement activities.

My goal for college is to play softball at the highest level while getting my college degree and getting the best grades I can get.  I am not afraid to put in the hard work.  My parents have showed me that if I want something I have to work hard and be dedicated to my goals.   They have showed me the meaning of not giving up and working for everything I get.

Although personal dedication it a big part of building my skills I realize that our sport is a team sport, team commitment and success is the ultimate goal.  My commitment to team success is my first goal and that is why I work hard to reach my goal because as I grow and improve my skills my team will get better as well.

Please visit my youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtoOOPK9sEJ3k_WLT8QKgMw/videos for more videos.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, it is very much appreciated!

I look forward to meeting you or talking to you about playing at your school.
