My name is Desyree Arizmendi, RHP who graduated in the class of 2021. The Covid-19 Pandemic brought uncertainty and difficult times to my life that took me away from the game for some time. Last year 2023, I came back to play softball for Golden West College in Huntington Beach. The desire to win and the will to continue to get better, kept on driving me to work harder. Adapting to change has been challenging, however, I‘ve learned to grow stronger mentally and physically because of it.
Everyday is a gift and I‘m grateful to God, my family and softball. I believe one must persevere and never give up because anything worth having isn’t easy to obtain. I look forward to challenging myself on the field, as well as in the classroom, in hopes that I am given the opportunity to play softball at the next level, for a program that will allow me to do so. -Desy Arizmendi, RHP
