Helena Plantz '21 Recruiting Profile

I have always had a passion for softball and dreamed about playing college ball. I have been playing travel ball for the past four years and have played up on a 16u team even as a 13 year old. During middle school I realized my love for the game and became completely devoted to working with coahes and training to improve ever since. Once I was in high school I made softball a priority and went out of my way to find camps, call coaches, and work on my skills and mechanics in all my free time. This summer I traveled to Australia to play softball for a 16u team for the United States. This opened my eyes to what was expected of college players and the standards they are held to on and off the field. I constanlty want to learn more about the game, I am easily coachable and love meeting new people. On and off the field I am very happy and upbeat. Softball is much more than just a game and I will always play with passion and love for the game.
