Faith Krueger '24 Recruiting Profile

My goal ever since I was 8 years old has been to play softball for 4 years in college. However, as I have gotten older my eyes have opened as to what softball is for… it is not only for having fun but it is also a vehicle to get me the education I want. My educational goal is to get a degree in Kinesiology and then complete nursing school. After becoming a travel ball athlete at the age of  11 and then later meeting legendary Coach Phil Bruder I have learned that softball is a lot more than getting up and going to practice, it is a passion, a lifestyle, and better yet a sisterhood… every girl on the field is just as important as you are.  A quote that has stuck with me that I really try to play my game by was actually said by one of my teammates Presley Vasquez, when she said, “play for the name on the front of the jersey not the back.” One thing that sets me apart from other recruits is that I know who I am not only as an athlete but also a person. This means that I know if I make a mistake it is just that a mistake, it doesn’t define me or the way I play. This means that I have a resilience that I don’t always see in other athletes.
