Although my wrestling career only began my sophomore year of high school, I have completely fallen in love with the sport. For the past 7 months I have been training in off season for the betterment of my wrestling skills, health, and mental state. I have a determined mindset to do everything I can to the best of my ability. I became a 2nd degree black belt through ATA Taekwondo at age 14, have maintained a 4.0 GPA since freshman year until now, have been in a leadership position at my church and youth group since I was 12, I was the first girl from my school to win League Champion, and have been training all summer at Self Made Training Facility Temecula stay in shape for wrestling. I am willing to make sacrifices for my future, but I also know when different things take priority over others and take having a balance for God, family/friends, schooling and sports very seriously. I have an optimistic outlook on life and use every setback as a stepping block towards success. Even if things don't go my way I have learned through my own experiences that sulking in the pain, disappointment, doubts, etc. of past mistakes gets me no where and that I should only use them to grow and fuel my fire. My goal in high-school wrestling is to be the first girl from my school to make it to State and have that be a motivation for any other upcoming wrestler on my team.
I want to broaden my understanding for the human mind and body, how it is all connected, what has different affects on certain parts of the body and why. I would like to use these studies for the betterment of future athletes by helping them through sports psychology, physical therapy and nutritional sciences. I have a passion for listening and helping others who need it most and I want to have the correct knowledge and skill levels to do so.
