Personal Statement

I like to think of myself as different, looking back at all my big losses has influenced who I am. I look back at my losses to learn from my mistakes that I made and to have a better and more positive attitude on the field moving forward. I can remember the first day, when I was about 5 years old, my dad comes to me and asks me if I wanted to play softball. I said yes and I would give it a try. I immediately fell in love with the sport and never wanted to stop playing it. I can't imagine my life without Softball. When playing softball I have learned that I am a team player. I have always thought that I am a very independent person but when I play this sport, I discover that I enjoy playing as a team!

Academically, my goals for high school are to graduate, finish with good grades, and create a bond with my teachers. My goals are to graduate on time for college, keep up with my studies, and fit in. I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't overcome the challenges that I faced along the way. Some challenges that I faced were, being the only pitcher on my team for a few years while being in tournaments, and being the only person on the team with softball experience. Those events are what made me a better team player because I helped my teammates learn the basics and never gave up on them. One of my main skills is communication because I enjoy helping others if they are struggling, and I don't mind asking questions if I am struggling. Also, another skill would be holding in my emotions on the mound so that my emotions don't bring the team down.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
