Ava Wallace '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches,

My name is Ava Wallace and the first time I stepped on the softball field at the age of 7 it became love and first sight.The intensity the game provides brings joy to my heart.  A little about myself, I’m a very hardworking and respectful player whose goal is to obtain an athletic scholarship to play softball and continue my education at a well respected and accredited University.  Academically I’m an honor roll student who‘s also part of the  AVID program at my school.  Being an AVID student has given me great organization and planning skills. I’ve visited a few universities to see what college life may be like.  Spending time with family and friends is what I look forward to during my down time. Coach, I’m a firm believer in hard work pays off, focusing on my mental and physical health, sharpening my skills defensively and offensively is something I put countless hours in and take pride into doing. Playing really aggressive at all times is a good way I'd describe my playing style. My favorite part of the game is applying pressure to the opposing team both offensively and defensively.  Having quality at bats by hitting the ball hard and forward with line drive gap hits or a hard hit ground ball allows me opportunity to move runners.  When on base my only thought is Ava you must score by any means necessary!  Charging balls and assisting with outs brings an indescribable joy on defense.  My coaches look towards me as a leader. I'm very vocal on and off the field and I love to encourage my teammates. There’s nothing more exciting then watching my sisters succeed.
